The Golf Club at Johnson Ranch offers golf enthusiasts a place to play for a daily fee just minutes from the Magma Ranch community. The 18-hole, championship-length course was designed by Kenny Watkins, who has overseen the development of courses across New Mexico, Utah and Arizona. In addition to the course, the Golf Club at Johnson Ranch offers a practice facility, a pro shop, a golf academy and an on-site restaurant.

12 miles southwest from Magma Ranch you’ll find the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. The monument has stood as a meeting place and landmark for over 650 years, and you and your family will love exploring this piece of history so close to home. Tours are available to help you learn more about the history of the monument and the surrounding area, and there’s a junior ranger program to help your children get more involved in their new community. Additionally, there’s a visitor center and plenty of places to have a picnic.

If you’re interested in learning about the local agriculture of the Phoenix valley, look no further than the Queen Creek Olive Mill, a tourist attraction like no other in the area. The mill is a local sustainable farm that produces all of the extra virgin olive oil in the state, and you can tour the facility to learn more about the variety of olives they grow as well as the history of the farm. They also have a gourmet marketplace on-site, where you can purchase olive oil directly from the farm, as well as a variety of other local and imported products. Additionally, there’s a Mediterranean grill that serves up a wide variety of foods freshly made from scratch.

Outdoor lovers will enjoy the convenient access Magma Ranch provides to a wide variety of recreational attractions, including San Tan Mountain Regional Park. The park is located just 11 miles from the community, and is the perfect place to hike, bike, picnic or camp. It’s the perfect place for checking out local flora and fauna, especially if you’re new to the valley area.

The Anthem Parkside Community Center is the perfect place for your kids to meet new friends and for your entire family to get involved in your new community. At the center you’ll find everything from fitness classes, a gym and a water park to clubs and after-school programs. The center also has a rock climbing wall, a game room, tennis courts, volleyball courts and much, much more.
Miscellaneous Shopping Whether you need a place to stock up your pantry or somewhere to fix up your car, you’ll find a wide variety of shops and services near the community. Within minutes of Magma Ranch there is a Walmart, a Walgreens, and O’Reilly Auto Parts, a Dollar General, a Target and more.
